His love for fishing began in early childhood, and that early passion grew into a lifelong career. With over a decade of fishing experience throughout the Bristol Bay region—on rivers like the Naknek and the Kvichak—as well as a successful guiding business in Missouri, Duane has honed his expertise in creating exceptional fishing experiences.

At Seasons on the Fly Lodge, a do-it-yourself lodge, Duane doesn’t guide guests directly. Instead, he uses his extensive background to lead them in the right direction, ensuring that each guest has all the knowledge and support they need to have the best possible Alaskan adventure on their own terms.
